Community Hubs

Community Hubs operate in various locations across our district, offering residents a chance to socialise, meet new friends and enjoy each other's company.

Breaking down barriers of isolation and loneliness, the hubs are run by the community, for the community.

These hubs offer a place to connect with each other, with the activities and services provided by trained volunteers, originally part of the successful Warm Hubs project launched in winter of 2022.

Activities and services offered by the hubs can vary from one to another, reflecting the diversity and needs of each local community. All offer a common theme of warmth, friendliness and inclusive places to socialise, take part in activities and access information and support from partners in the district including the council, NHS and the Communities Service.

These hubs operate under the banner of the Cambridgeshire Community Hubs Network, with a dedicated Facebook page where details of the hub locations and opening hours can be viewed.

Community Hubs operate in East Cambridgeshire at:

  • Ashley Pavilion
  • Bottisham Community Room
  • Fordham Victoria Hall
  • Haddenham Sports and Social Club
  • Little Thetford Village Hall
  • Littleport St George's Church Parish Room
  • Mepal Village Hall
  • Stetchworth Ellesmere Centre

Each Community Hub is being run independently so they will be open at different times, depending on where they are being held and when the rooms are available.

For details visit Cambridgeshire ACRE which facilitates the hubs on behalf of the council.

How to get there

It is possible volunteers or people attending the hub will be able to offer transport options for people who want to attend but cannot get there. There is also the option of using community transport to attend, if this is available in your area. More information about Community Transport
