Walking in East Cambs

It is almost impossible not to feel good when we are walking outdoors, it is a natural mood booster!

And, the great news is, we do not need to walk far or fast to feel its effects on our health and wellbeing. Simply getting out is a tonic for our minds and bodies, and it can be sociable too.

We, along with partners, offer a range of walking routes and free guided walks across the district to help you keep active.

Ely Country Park walking routes

The Ely Country Park walks leaflet outlines two circular trails around the site marked out by sculptures of bulrushes and kingfishers. The Bulrush Trail is 1.5 miles long while the Kingfisher Trail is 2 miles long.

Both trails pass by the River Ouse, Roswell Pits, the Hereward Way and include magnificent views of Ely Cathedral - sections of the walks are also located within an ecological and geological Site of Scientific Interest.
