This Sunday also sees the return of the French Market from Le Marche de France who will bring a great range of high quality and fresh produce from all regions of France for everyone to enjoy.
There will be an enormous selection of French cheeses to buy, bread will be baked onsite and there will be a Charcuterie with wonderful sausages, olives and smoked ham.
For those with a sweet tooth, wonderful natural honeys as well the hugely popular crepes stall will be on display. For those with a small space left, the sweet stall will also be making fresh pralines, almonds and cashews on site.
Tracey Harding, Team Leader Tourism and Town Centre Services at East Cambridgeshire District Council, said: “Ely Markets have had a great year with lots of people coming along as part of their weekly shop or to get something special for family and friends. This Sunday, visitors to the city centre will be able to buy the very best local flowers and food as well as great produce direct from France. So come on down to the Market Place from 9am and see what great things you can pick up.”
As well as the fortnightly Farmers Markets, Ely also boasts a regular Craft & Collectables Market every Saturday for a great selection of arts, crafts and antiques as well as the traditional General Market every Thursday and the Flower market on the last Sunday of every month.
